How do we know about the war between God and the devil?

Is it in the Bible or is it Jewish oral tradition?

because we are constantly battling the spiritual war of good and evil

Yes, but I mean when Satan was cast into hell by St. Michael.

technically, there cannot be war between God and the devil, it is the war between God’s creation and the devil…
the devil is just jealous of us

Its in Revalation.

Revelation 12:7-9

7] Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,
8] but they were defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.
9] And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world – he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Also:

Revelation 20:1-3
1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were ended. After that he must be loosed for a little while.

thanks

I’ve read the Bible. The devil did it.

Jesus wins in the end.
