How does the Catholic faith look upon donating bodies to science?

Hi, my son approached me with the desire to have his body donated to science in the event of his death. As a mother I was devastated. For 25 years I have prevented people from experimenting on him. He has been on life support for all his life and been in wheelchair. I would like to know how the catholic faith looks upon this. I do not want this to happen but will honor his wishes if I have to. I would however like to present his with something to show that this is not the right thing to do. Can you please tell me what the concensus is on this issue.
