Some of my very close friends are either atheist, or caught up in the materialistic, self-pleasing society we’re stuck in right now. I get told so many times that they have a grudge against catholics because we’re “too uptight”. How can I possibly defend myself against people who have no real faith at all?
Who’s the most up tight here? They sound up tight over Catholics. Could it be that they are up tight about the fact that Catholics consider themselves accountable to Someone bigger than themselves—and what this might say about them? What if Catholics are right? This could make non-believers very up tight if they let themselves dwell on it much.
