Hymnal Suggestions


Greetings, all,

Our parish is seriously considering moving away from the yearly “disposable” hymnals and moving to a permanent hard-back book.

We’re looking for something that has NOT re-written all the hymns with inclusive language and political correctness.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?

Lumen Christi is great, but you may want to hold off on it until they release the choir additions. You can get those versions online but they aren’t in a bound version yet. Just PDFs online. It is great for personal use but if you are going to use those wait till they release their choir addition.


The suggestions that you have received are very good, but you might also want to take a look at the St. Michael Hymnal.


The Catholic Choirbook might be worth a look:
