I really need a prayer saying for my wife

#1

In 2005 my wife was diagnosed as suffering from a brain tumour - on the pituitary gland. We managed to get things under control but she took a turn for the worse since Christmas. Tomorrow (Friday) she will be seen in Sheffield Hallamshire. This afternoon I attended the funeral of a wonderful former parish priest (Fr Phillip O’Dowd - a fantastic, warm and wonderful man) in the news we read about Jade Goody and the terrible plight affecting her.

Please spare us a prayer, we have a young family and are both very worried.

Loving God,

We offer this prayer of support for this family, that mulvihill’s wife may be healed, and that your loving and comforting Holy Spirit may be with this family and give them faith, hope, and courage in this difficult time.

Prayer to God, the Source of Health

God our Father, source of all health, be near those who suffer
in the time of weakness and pain; relieve them of their burden
and heal them, if it be Your will.

Give peaceful sleep to those who need rest for soul and body,
and be with them in their hours of silence.
Bless those who know not what another day will bring.

Make them ready for whatever it may be. Whether they must
stand, or sit, or be confined, grant them a strong spirit.

Inspire with Your love those who bring healing and care to the
suffering. May they bestow Your gifts of health and strength
wherever they go. Grant this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Dear Jesus please be with Mulvihill and his wife in the ordeal of her health concerns. They wish to continue healthy and happy life together and are fearful of the recent flare-up of illness. Please have compassion on them and give them all the graces that they need.
I’ll keep you both in my prayers and Masses.

Please give Your mercy to Fr Phillip’s soul;
and Your love to Jade

Loving God,

We lift up mulvihill’s wife and ask for your blessing, courage, and strength for her as she ensures her suffering. Please also bless mulvihill and all who care for his wife. We pray for the healing and comfort that only You can provide to this family and to mulvihill’s wife. Please help them to keep a strong faith and joyful hope alive as they continue to love you and each other.
