I told my parents last night about my plans to become a priest, by entering the seminary right out of high school. They are going to be supportive of me. I can breathe easy now.
Wow! I know you were really concerned. So glad it’s working out!
Gott sei Dank!
I am so happy for you! I bet you feel relieved now. I am glad that they are supportive of you.
God Bless You.
Deo gratias! Good luck to you!
I just wish my parents were as supportive as yours.
That’s wonderful! May God bless you every step of the way.
Thank you for answering God’s call.
Good luck in your continued discernment.
That is good news. I’ll continue to pray for you, on this blessed journey. God Bless you.
As for bben15, my heart pains to hear that you don’t have the support from your parents that you hope for. How I would embrace a child of mine that would choose religious life. A gift. I will also keep you in my prayers. Follow your heart, God will lead you. Blessings to you in the coming year.
That is so wonderful to hear! I wish you luck on your journey to the priesthood, and I will be praying for you.
Congratulations and Deo gratias!
May God bless you all…
Please pray for my parents who don’t support me …
In Christ, Our Lord,
I hope your path to priesthood becomes a reality. May God guide you thru the whole journey.
From a person who is discerning a call to the Jesuits
Congrats! As a high school teacher, I’m so impressed with your writing skills as I reread your older posts. Have you ever considered following our Holy Father and becomimg a Jesuit? Most Jesuits enter their formation with an undergrad degree and by the time they take formal vows have a doctorate. They study all over the world at the top universities. My current pastor was dean at one of their universities in Florence!!! Ill be praying that you find peace and joy in the next year as you decide your plan for your college years.
Thank you for the nice comment. Yes, I have considered the Jesuits.
If you do it’s a great path to take.
That’s great news! I’m glad they were supportive of you. It’s gotta be nice having that hurdle over with!
