IDF: Iranian forces fire 20 rockets at Israel; Iron Dome intercepts some

#21

In other words, Iran is retaliating against Israel because the Trump administration broke its nuclear treaty with Iran? Why isn’t CNN reporting on this now?

#22

Yes, that’s part of the reason. I also believe it’s in retaliation to Israel bombing an Iranian base in Syria a few weeks ago. I did just see CNN reporting it but perhaps they moved on to another story?

#23

I live in Kansas. It’s no great shakes either. Ha

#25

You read my mind. That plays in my head every time something happens with Israel.

#26

Imagine if they were so angry - at the Trump administration - that they fired rockets - at Rome !

#27

Israel needs to win/be lucky in every significant conflict. It’s enemies need win / be lucky only once. I cannot see a peaceful solution unless Israel accommodates the Palestinians and their right of return. But I cannot see how this can be done without Israel ceasing to exist. The ideal of a free, democratic and secular state of Palestine/Israel now seems impossible. I see nothing positive ahead. The Catholic Church seems well placed to bring hope by mediation. Not a lot of hope, I admit, but hope none-the-less. I don’t believe in miracles but would be happy to change my mind!

#28

Israel’s just small. It’s why they’re under constant threat; if they threw their weight around and expanded then nobody would bother them. Lucky for the Middle East and the rest of the world, they don’t.

#29

He has truly made Israel a burdensome stone to all the nations. (Zech 12:3)

Lord have mercy, and protect your people.

#30

They did, but they had to give up all the gained territory…

#31

God please help our world have peace.

#32

Thank God Israel never gave up the Golan heights. Just imagine what they could have done then or if the West Bank and Gaza borders were as close as they were before 1967.

Oh give us hope against the adversary, for deliverance by man is in vain. Through God we shall do valiantly, and it is he who will tear down our adversaries PS 60:11-12

???

I saw it on their website yesterday.

Too bad they don’t have all the territory they’ve been able to conquer before.

We should just turn them loose on the region.

#35

Israel has repeatedly attacked Iran’s Syrian allies. Not surprising that they would eventually retaliate against Israeli aggression.

#36

Only “not surprising” if you take it as an assumption that they don’t understand the “rules” that govern proxy battles.

To directly launch the strike is basically an admission by Iran that it isn’t one of the major powers involved.

Personally, I suspect a commander exceeded his authority in that launch–it was a losing move on every level.

OY VEY why do the Iranians persecute us so? Its fine if Israel launches missiles at Iran but when they do it to us its an aggressive act of war.

#38

Maybe if they’d learned the first 2 or 3 times Israel whooped them in wars they wouldn’t have to keep getting their sh** pushed in.

#39

Iran and ISISrael have never fought in open war…let alone “2 or 3” times.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

#40

No but they did defeat Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

I will never understand people who side with heathens over Israel.
