How many books do you think you read in a year?
Probably 50 or so.
I always admired people who can read hundreds, or even thousands of books in a life time.
It takes lots of discipline, something I don’t have.
If I made the time to read, instead of being on the computer for hours at a time, I may read more.
I never had my TV converted, so I have that out of the way.
I probably couldn’t put an accurate estimate on it, but it’s many books. I’ve loved reading since I got past the learning phase (some time before kindergarten). Now here I am at 18 years of age and I still love it.
I remember reading or hearing once that Karl Keating reads a book every week. I wondered to myself how I was doing so I started keeping track of the books & number of pages (isn’t Excel great?)
Last year I read 27 books at a bit of 7000 pages!!
About 1100, 3 books a day average.
I read really, really quickly. I was ‘born’ that way; I never took ‘speed reading’ so it’s not as though I ‘worked’ to read so quickly. However, I do love to read, as my trifocals attest!
Good question - I’ll get back to you in a year
Two days ago I read 160 pages of a book on a six-hour train journey.
There was a time when I read 100 pages of “The Lord of the Rings” daily.
