I don’t want to have to be in this horrible state of endless suffering and pain. My psychiatrist said there was nothing more he could do for my mental health. I’m on 4 psychiatric medicines. Talk therapy ended in failure (the therapist didn’t know what to do for me.) My physical health just won’t budge. If we make any progress with one thing, two more come in it’s place. God is millions of miles away from me and my faith is SOOOO weak and lonely. Praying is torture. No one in my family is Catholic. I have to practice it all alone. I’m just done with this world. The Salve Regina prayer is absolutely right in calling it a “valley of tears.” Hard seeing God is good right now. It just sucks!
I am praying for your brave soul, Convert.
I prayed for you earlier this morning, Convert in 99, though I didn’t post.
And I’m praying for you now.
God has a plan.
As Charlie Johnston would say, “Acknowledge God, take the next right step, be a sign of hope to others.”
Valley of tears? We’re all living though dark and stormy times right now.
That said …
There is hope.
Jesus, I trust in you.
You are in my prayers…
Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers! :hug3:
I’m praying for you too, Convert!
No one in my family is Catholic. Do you have a support group of like minded friends to strengthen faith? Practicing alone does get lonely.
Praying for to have peace & health.
The torture of your pain is your greatest prayer.
The sensation of touch may not be there. But please know that you are in the arms of the Good Shepherd. When you are weak and lonely, try to remember that Jesus, the forever Good Shepherd, Who hung bloody on His cross, will not drop you.
You are in my prayers…
Sorry it’s been so hard for you.
Praying for you.
I will pray for an end to your pain, your loneliness and suffering.
Remember that you always have friends here, Convert.
Dear Convert I am very concerned about your message, especially your statement “I’m just done with this world”.
Is there anybody you can contact for help?
Joining with all in praying for you, convert…
O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity.
O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.
O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power.
O show us that you are our Mother.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen.
You say God is millions of miles from you but God is your only answer!
I will pray for you to have some peace in your life… but you must also promise to keep asking for God to help you. A short simple, sincere prayer in your own words. Jesus knows your situation and just wants you to ask Him to help.
He cannot abandon you.
Praying that God gives you peace in your life.
When one Doctor fail s to help, find another one.
Call your Chancery for a recommendation.
God does have a plan.
I have prayed for you. In addition, there is a book called A Catholic Guide to Depression that helped me a lot. You may not be interested in books, but this one addresses the problem from a Catholic Christian world view. I’m totally in agreement with finding another doctor. They aren’t one size fits all.
I’m very sorry for what you are going through.
May God grant you peace, strength, perseverance, and
the proper doctor, therapist, and treatment to restore your health.
Agreeing with what was said regarding finding a new doctor.
Peace and all good.
I try to picture myself in the arms of God our father. St. Michael the Archangel defend you in battle . Remember that you can offer your suffering as prayer . Ask without ceasing. Will pray for you beautiful child of God.
This is far from easy, but Saint Faustian wrote about redemptive suffering to offer the souls in purgurtory.
I have been experiencing horrible menopausal headaches, but I try to remember Christ’s crown of thorns.
Please try to keep looking for a specialist. University hospitals in big cities tend to be the best because they see so many people with different diagnosis.
God knows your suffering is not in vain, and I will pray for your intentions daily. God bless.
