From the writings of St. Anthony Mary Claret, a video for you to imagine what Our Lord has prepared for us if we choose to live out of grace.

Wow thanks for the post, that’s really scary. If that doesn’t get you to repent, nothing will.

VERY, VERY SCARY! I can only say REPENT with all our hearts!

AWESOME! What a great way to impose a religion by using fear! :clapping:

This promotes imperfect contrition (you are sorry because you fear hell). Perfect contrition (you are sorry because you love God) is better.

Here’s the IMAGINE movie in Spanish, for your spanish speaking friends who may not fear the place that God has provided for them if they do not die in a state of grace in communion with the One Holy Catholic, and Apostolic Church. And many of our spanish speaking brothers are being carried away by the wave of protestant/bible church goers, because they do NOT KNOW THEIR FAITH. Let it not be our fault. Ave Maria.

very very interesting. not sure what to say

Our Lord did not prepare hell for us. Hell was created for the devil and the fallen angels not for humans.

Which is not to say humans cannot and do not end up there, only to say that God did not create it for us. We choose hell by not choosing God.

How long does it take to load? I waited and only saw the black screen with the little circulating thing in the middle - nothing happened??

Nice point. I should be more careful.

Try again, maybe open a new browser…??

It wouldn’ t open for me either, just black screen and loading, but never loads. Even tried another brower!

Frightening people into believing in god. Nice.

I still have problems with the whole “by the way, all this torture is occurring at the hands of someone who is all powerful, all knowing, and loves you very, very much.”

Jesus Christ did the very same thing quite often, frightening people… it is what we deserve for treating such a merciful God so badly as to continue sinning and living lukewarm lives, even though He sent His only son to come down here and live and die most horribly.

Here’s some biblical evidence if you are into the Bible. Are you a Christian?

Stories of Persons who Visited Hell and Apparitions of the Damned

The Bible and Hell
There are over thirty repeated references to the existence of Hell in the Old Testament alone. For instance: “The sorrows of death have compassed me: and the perils of Hell have found me” (Psalms [D-R] 114:3). “For the Lord Almighty will take revenge on them. In the day of judgment he will visit them: for he will give fire and worms into their flesh, that they may burn, and may feel for ever” (Judith 16:20 -21). “Depart from me, come not near me, because thou art unclean: these shall be smoke in my anger, a fire burning all the day” (Isaias 65:5). “A fire is kindled in my wrath, and shall burn even to the lowest hell…I will heap evils upon the transgressors of my law, and will spend my arrows among them” (Deut.32:22-23). “The congregation of sinners is like tow heaped together, and the end of them is a flame of fire” (Ecclesiasticus 21:10). “He shall be punished for all he did, and yet shall not be consumed:…he shall burn, and every sorrow shall fall upon him…All darkness is hid in his secret places: a fire that is not kindled shall devour him” (Job 20:18,22,26).

In the Gospels, Jesus speaks of Hell more than of Heaven. In St. Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus says “But I say to you, that whosoever is angry with his brother, shall be in danger of the judgment…And whosoever shall say, you fool, shall be in danger of Hell fire” (St. Matt. 5:22). “The Son of Man shall send his angels and they will collect out of his kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth” (St. Matt. 13:41-42). In St. Mark’s Gospel, Jesus warns: “And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed than with two hands to go into Hell, into the unquenchable fire…” (St. Mark 9:42).

A description of the last judgment in the Book of Apocalypse clearly makes the point: “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in presence of the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which was the book of life; and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hell gave up their dead that were in them; and they were judged every one according to their works. And Hell and death were cast into the pool of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the pool of fire” (Apoc. 20:12-15).

Jesus describes in St. Matthew’s Gospel the last judgment as His separation of the sheep (those who loved God and neighbor) from the goats (those who did not). To the goats, Jesus says His indictment will be: “Depart from Me, you accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. …And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life” (St. Matt. 25:41,46). Jesus Christ could not have been more clear that each of us, by our choices and conduct, risks eternal punishment after death – Hell.

If you have problems viewing the movie, it may be that your security controls are too high, blocking the movie from coming through. I tried to view the movie on my son’s account, where I have the parental controls in place, and it just spun and spun, like some of you said. Try going to Tools/Internet Options/Security (if you have Internet Explorer) and change the setting down to medium from heavy. If it’s already there, not sure what the deal is…perhaps your blocking things on your Antivirus/Internet Security software.

As much as I love my faith. Please do not post these, this gets the idea of a religion of fear, whilst sin should be feared and repentance should be had, this is not the way to go about propagating it.

What do you think Vatican II was about?

And do you seriously think non-Christians will take this seriously?

Infact, I’m sure some black metal bands will think it’s heaven.

I sometimes get the impression that we are going backwards in time. Hell is more a state of being where you are deprived from God whilst fully understanding what you are missing. That in itself is torture for the soul.

As for being in the same place in hell and etc is debatable.

Repentance is a must, sin no more, yes.

Propagating videos like this isn’t the way to go about it.

So, Vatican II changed Hell?? This is straight from the writings of Saint Anthony Mary Claret. Are you saying the writings of the Saints should be suppressed? Are you saying the scripture has been changed, and that Hell no longer is as painful as Christ once described? Really? Are you Catholic?

How many of you out there agree that this video content is no longer relevant?

Sad.

The teachings of hell are relevant.
Videos and books which describe and depict interpretations of it serve a purpose.

They do not serve as tools for converting souls, however.
Jesus came to this earth to evangelize through LOVE. He instills in our hearts a desire, a longing, to be with him because we WANT to be with Him.

He did not come to earth to reveal these visions of hell to all the jews to coerce them into converting, though certainly he could have. This tells me a lot about his will for our mission in continuing his work.

His last commandment was “love one another as I have loved you”. It wasn’t, go out and show the world how horrid hell is so they will run to me in fear for protection.

These visions of hell were given to SAINTS for a purpose, to help THEM in their particular missions God had for them. It seems to me he granted the visions to the saints to help them remain inspired to continue the work of Christ as they grew tired or full of despair, worried that they couldn’t carry on. He shows his saints the need for their efforts to inspire them.

So, yes, I have a problem with pushing the youtube video as a tool for evangelization. Certainly, if someone asks us if hell is real, and what it’s like, then THAT’s when we send them to this YouTube video, noting that this is how it was revealed to that particular saint, and send them to other books and writings of the saints who received visions of hell.
