In need of prayers: Possible Conjoined Twins

#1

Hello everyone,

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on here. Today, I went to the doctor for my first prenatal visit for my second pregnancy (our son is 13 months old). The doctor did a vaginal ultrasound since I’m 7 weeks pregnant and believes I might have conjoined twins. She referred me to another specialist who can do a better exam to determine if they actually are conjoined, and I’ll be going within the next week or two, but I am so scared right now. First, the doctor informed me the survival rate of conjoined twins is 25% but she also said my own life could be at risk. I am just terrified and in need of lots of prayers.

Many prayers for you and your children.

Relax and place it in God’s hands. Fear is very hard to control but it will not help the situation. I know it is easier said than done but place your faith fully in God and trust that whatever happens He will be with you and your unborn children.

I pray that God gives you the faith you need and gives you and your unborn children health :signofcross: Amen.

There is a website that will link you to a group who provides support to parents who get a scary pre-natal diagnosis. I am on dial up, or, I’d find it for you - if you google “be not afraid” you should be able to find them.

Prayers, and know that God loves you and those babies and that life for the babies, even a short life, is precious.

#7

I will keep you and your children in my prayers.

#8

I will be keeping you and your babies in my prayers.

Nothing is out of God’s control, take peace in knowing that He is there for you.

Thank you all for your prayers. Knowing others are praying for me and my family brings tears of thankfulness to my eyes. Really! My husband and I are taking these special intentions of ours to Mass today and laying them on the Altar and at our Lord’s feet. If anyone else goes to Mass today and reads this thread, could you please do the same?

There is a chance that my doctor is wrong as she has been wrong in this very matter before, and it’s extremely early in my pregnancy to detect such a thing. I’m hoping the other ultrasound will be done tomorrow so we have a better idea of what is actually going on. I feel like I’m in the middle of a nightmare right now, but I know God is with me and will take care of me and my children.

God bless you all.

Sour Grape -
I am praying for you!!! I am the mother of twin girls myself.
Please, when you have time, let us know how the appointment went, would you?
I remember how scary the pregnancy was without the added worry of a possibility of conjoined twins. My prayers are with you! Stay strong!

St. Gianna Molla… wife, mother and medical doctor… please pray for “Sour Grape”, her husband and children. Please obtain for them the graces necessary to accept God’s Will… whatever it may be; and to persevere in faith, courage and love. For this, I humbly pray. Amen.

PSA 9:18 But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the
afflicted ever perish.

16:9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will
rest secure,

31:24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.

33:18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose
hope is in his unfailing love,

22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope
in you.

38:15 I wait for you, O LORD; you will answer, O Lord my God.

39:7 "But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.

43:5 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your
hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

71:5 For you have been my hope, O Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my
youth.

85:10 Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss
each other.

PRO 3:3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your
neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in
Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you
and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

You and your family are in our prayers! God bless.

Dear God, let these beautiful children be healthy and well.
Protect them, let them develop as they should. O Lord, we beg this of you.
