INDIA - PIME: Death of Fr. Luigi Pezzoni, founder of the historic leprosy colony in Nalgonda [AN]

The missionary was 82 years old and was in India since 1966 . In 1973 he founded the Leprosy Health Centre : Today, the facility includes a hospital for lepers with 200 beds, a school and a boarding school for 500 children ; laboratories , a colony for sufferers. Among the latest projects launched by Fr. Pezzoni is the construction of a hospital for AIDS patients, which will be completed in 2015.
