Indiana Church fire, your prayers needed

On Wednesday April 27th a candle apparently started a fire at St. Joan of Arc Church in Merrillville, Indiana. The fire destroyed the church’s tapestry of Christ, as well as four stained glass windows depicting the life of St. Joan of Arc. More tragically, the altar was destroyed, as well as the communion hosts. Mercifully, everyone was safely evacuated and no one was injured.

Parish priest Father Andrew Corona said a neighboring parish has already contacted him and offered the use of an altar and tabernacle. Please offer your prayers for the community of this parish, so that they may get themselves back on their feet quickly.

If you wish to contact the church, you can do so through the website of the Diocese of Gary, Indiana, at . Click on the parishes link. St. Joan of Arc is in Merrillville, Indiana.

Thank you.

Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with thee: blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.*

Praying for this Parish & Parishioners.

qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo. Amen.
