Infallibility--ordinary extraordianary

The POpe when he defines a matter of faith and morals to be held by all the faithful, the doctrine is extraordinarily infallible—However, the Church can also teach a doctrine infallibly through the ordinary magisterium…If a doctrine on faith and morals is taught over a constant period of time than the doctrine is infallible by virtue of the ordianry magisterium–Sometimes it is not clear whether a doctrine is infallible or not by the teaching of the ordinary magisterium so we need the extra oridinary magisterium to clear the matter up so to speak.
