Infant Jesus of Prague Novena

#1

Hi all,

I’m considering praying this Novena over the next 9 days for an urgent intention, but I have a question before I begin.

What are the exact words of the Novena? I’ve been researching it on the web, but every site I go to has a different listing of the Novena. What’s the most offical way to pray this?

Also, I can do this over 9 days right? Because I also read it can be done over 9 consecutive hours.

If I do choose to do the 9 consecutive hours, I say it at the top of each hour, correct?

Thank you in advance,

INFANT OF PRAGUE NOVENA PRAYER

O Jesus, Who has said, “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened,” through the intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

(Make your request)

O Jesus, Who has said, “All that you ask of the Father in My Name, He will grant you,” through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask your Father in your name that my prayer will be granted.

(Make your request)

O Jesus, Who has said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away but My word shall not pass away,” through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.

(Make your request)

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

Divine Infant Jesus, I know You love me and would never leave me. I thank You for Your close Presence in my life.

Miraculous Infant, I believe in Your promise of peace, blessings, and freedom from want. I place every need and care in Your hands.

Lord Jesus, may I always trust in Your generous mercy and love. I want to honor and praise You, now and forever. Amen.

Ok so I pray those 3 smaller prayers for 9 days straight, or the top of the hour for 9 hours straight, right?

But when do I pray the Thanksgiving prayer? After I finish the Novena for good?

By the way, thank you for providing the correct wording :)

Hello,
I just wanted to vouch for the powerfulness of this Novena. My friends small son was scheduled for surgery to open up his trachea and she decided to do the 9 hour Novena to the Infant of Prague. I witnessed her do this. At the hour she pulled out her prayer card and quietly recited the prayer.

Her son was miraculously cured and never needed surgery and is a happy healthy boy.

I'm not sure if I'm the "right" person to answer your question. You may have to ask someone with a bit more knowledge like Brother J R.

I'm sure Our Lord (Infant of Prague) won't mind you praying the Novena for 9 days rather than 9 hours...It's entirely up to you and Him.

You can pray the "thanksgiving prayer" after you're Novena or whenever you like.

Please keep in mind that sometimes God will say, "No" and sometimes God will tell you, "to be patient and wait."

Remember, that Novena's do not ask you to make a wish.
