Injured in a motorcycle accident

#1

Please pray for my friend, and his wife, children and family. He was injured very seriously on monday evening in a motorbike accident. He hit the side of a coach that was turning into a fuel station. He has multiple serious injuries, and has not yet properly gained consciousness. We do not yet know if he has suffered brain damage. His spine is fine, so if he recovers he should walk. He is very very poorly, and we are all desperately worried. Thank you.

BTW, no-one else was injured, but please pray for those that were there at the scene, and all the medical staff that have helped him as well.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do you, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God,
cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

Dear Lord, heal this poor man who suffered serious injuries in his motorcycle accident. May he regain his consciousness soon and not be suffering any brain damage. Be with him in a special way during his lack of consciousness and let him know how much you love him and want him to be happy in You. Help his family and everybody who has suffered by this unfortunate event draw closer to You. May they keep praying and never lose hope in You or doubt their faith. May this event bring souls together in prayer and in realization of how precious they are to one other, even if they do already know this and appreciate this on a basic level. May they all find comfort and peace in Your love and care. I ask this in Jesus’ Name. AMen.

Thank you so very much for your prayers - its strange, but I feel like I know deep down that he will get better, as there are so many people praying for him. Perhaps that is just my faith in Our Lord. He is stable, and although there are many broken bones, they will heal. The intensive care team are wonderful, and they have been trying gradually to wake him up. He has reacted to physical stimulus, but is not yet aware consciously - they are taking him off the sedation totally today - it can take up to 36 hours apparently to flush out of his system, during which time he can still be “foggy” and unfocussed - so they won’t know if there is brain damage until he is fully awake. He is on morphine as well, so that will also have an effect of his clarity when the sedation wears off. Will be going over to see him later, Saw him yesterday, and his face had more colour, he was grey before, but now his face looks more normal, he looks much better.

He was very lucky in the people that were there on the scene, as one of the paramedics only works part time for the Ambulance Service, he is an army medic, and is used to dealing with major trauma injuries, and insisted on Dean being taken to Selly Oak Hospital, in Birmingham - that and his own assistance at the scene apparently saved him - had he been taken to the most local general hospital, they think he would have died. Selly Oak is the place in the UK where they bring the most seriously injured military personnel, so they are really highly trained. I think his Guardian Angel was looking after him very well that night.

Thank you again, God bless you all.
