I would recommend you read the book, The Gospel According to James McCarthy by Gary Michuta and available from Catholic Answers on this very website

Both John Ankerberg (whose site this is from) and James McCarthy (the writer of this article) are well known and notorious anti-Catholics.

The arguments presented in McCarthy’s article have been rebuted and refuted many times over, ad naseum. In fact, the book this article seems to come from has been rebuted by another book called “The Gospel According To James McCarthy.”

John Ankerberg is a anti-catholic. A few months ago when down at my local Catholic college here in oklahoma - St. Gregory’s which is the home of a Bendictine Monastery. Many of the classes at this college are taught by the monks and priests. My own parish Priest was brother at this monastery before being called to be a priest. I discovered Ankerberg’s book “THE FACTS ABOUT ROMAN CATHOLICSM” a slim, incredibly biased and one-sided summary of “Roman Catholic belief” on the shelves of St. Gregory’s bookstore with other Catholic religious books. I explained to bookstore manager what was really the content of the book despite what the back cover claims who then said they would remove it. It just goes show how with slick and decpetive packaging, anti-catholic literature can worm its way into orthodox Catholic institutions.

Somehwere in my collection of stuff, I have a tape of Ankerberg having Fr. Mich Pacwa on his program, with Waltar Martin (now deceased, God rest his soul) I believe.

Even so, I think Fr. Pacwa “handed Ankerberg’s head” back to him in most topics!

God bless,

Raynd,

Is this as legitimate as the other question you asked?

Why don’t you just state plainly why you are here? Once you admit to everyone that you are here to trash the Catholic Church, we can start to deal honestly with each other.

What’s “intersting” about it? Same old anti-Catholic grind.
