Is it a sin for a man to have long hair?

This might seem like a silly question, but I’m curious. I know that long hair on men has been associated with “hippies” and secularism, but is there really anything sinful about it? Does it detract in any way from masculinity (as the Church sees it)? Depictions of Jesus usually show Him with long hair, so why has long hair on males become so popular among anti-Christians? Should it be discouraged?
