Is it licit to sing a Spanish hymn while praying the English LOTH in individual recitation?

Peace of the Lord,

Would it be licit to sing a Spanish hymn for any of the hours of the LOTH in individual recitation?

Yes absolutely if it’s an approved hymn for the Spanish LOTH.

It would even be licit in community recitation, again using approved texts.

Our abbey uses Latin hymns for the Offices it recites in French (Vigils, Terce, Sext, None and Compline; Lauds and Vespers are entirely in Latin Gregorian chant except for the readings and the intercessions). In our parish, some of the Masses are bilingual, with part said in French, part in English.

Yes. That’s fine.
