Is it permissible for a Catholic to donate his body to science?

As the executor of a non-Catholic’s will, is it permissible for me to fulfill a last request to have the body cremated and the ashes scattered? Would it be permissible for me to fulfill my non-Catholic/non-Christian father’s request to donate his body to science?

The following link should explain the Church’s position on the treatment of cremains. If you have any further questions, please contact Catholic Answers directly.
