Is it possible to miss God's will?

My friend was asking me about this… Is it possible to miss your true love? God’s sent life partner for you? What if God was just testing your relationship and you broke up with him?:eek::shrug:

God has a plan for us all…to lead us to salvation-- to Himself. This includes vocations and possible spouses that will help get us there, but the vocations and/or spouses are not the end result of the plan. Sometimes there are detours and alternate routes.

I like to think of God’s plan for our lives as a GPS unit. It gives you the directions, and if you pay attention, you will get to where you are supposed to go (salvation and union with God). What happens when you are using a GPS and you take a wrong turn (on purpose or on accident)? Recalculating… Recalculating… If you start paying attention, you’ll get where you need to go, even if you don’t take plan A or the most direct route.

God’s will is perfect, but it’s also flexible and accounts for our ignorance, imperfections, and free will.

i love this!

I hate to undermine your humility, but this is fantastic! I think you’re spot on.
