Is My Marriage Valid?

I asked this on AAA, but it’s not a question that got answered.

My husband and I were both correctly baptized non-Catholics who married in a non-catholic church. However, he was divorced when we married. However, his ex died shortly after we were married.

Any ideas?

Feel free to pm me on this.

I would ask a priest about this. I think he probably should have gotten an annulment just to be sure, but I really don’t know how the Church goes about determining cases like this.

There is at this time no impediment to your marriage however it also is not a sacramental marriage at this time.

You should be free to have your marriage blessed in the church with the former spouse now deceased.

May God bless your marriage.
