Is the Earth actually 6000 years old?

With all the evidence we have about the age of the Universe and the Earth, why do Christians still believe the Earth is 6000 years old? Just a few things that need to be discounted:

Radioactive Dating
The Cosmic Microwave Background
The Fossil Record
Any light we see from celestial objects further than 6,000 light years away
Modern Geology

Taking into account how horribly wrong the Catholic Church has been about science in the past (It took until 1993 - yes - 1993 to reject Geocentrism, for example) why do Christians think they know everything about Earth’s history?
