Is there a rebuttal to this anti-Catholic book?

In one Internet discussion forum that I belong to, someone mentioned the book In God’s Name by David Yallop and uses sections in it to criticize the Roman Catholic Church. To me, that book is/was a fiction. But responding to sections as John Paul I was killed by cardinals, the Vatican has a huge and corrupt bank, that Massinkus was in charge, etc., is very hard for me. How can I proceed in clearing the air? It’s especially important because so many others are reading these exchanges and their views may be negatively swayed. Please help me!
