Is this a sin?

Hi I am a student and recently there was a man who came into us to speak about something, then he started talking about what president did we think would win my countrie’s election, then he started mocking one of the candidates’ voice, I didnt knwo whether I should say something or what since he was my superior and it would be disrespectful in doing so. I know he didnt mean any harm in joking but I am very scrupulous and worry if I committed a sin of omission. Any advice??

You didn’t commit a sin, and especially in light of the fact your asking about it, you did not commit a mortal sin.

For a sin to be mortal, it must be grave, and must be commited with FULL KNOWLEDGE and consent.

You obviously didn’t have full knowledge of any grave sin that you were being tempted with.

I agree with the other poster. I don’t think it was a mortal sin.

God bless you
