ISIS has targeted refugee program to enter US, chairman says

Intelligence officials have determined that Islamic extremists have explored using the refugee program to enter the United States, the head of the House Homeland Security Committee said on Monday.

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) declined to go into detail about the determination, which the Obama administration has not announced publicly.

Yet the disclosure could add ammunition to critics of the White House’s refugee plans who have warned that the program is vulnerable to infiltration by adherents of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

That may be so, but it doesn’t mean we don’t have to help innocent refugees that are trapped.
With that said, helping the refugees doesn’t necessarily mean letting them in instantaneously. For instance governments, charities and NGOs can work to make sure refugees are safe and secure places for those fleeing from violence and persecution.

Moratoriums can be understood since they mean to be temporary. Again countries and nations can provide aid to develop safe refugee camps and assist countries taking in a significant portion of refugees.

In the meantime, those nations can use the time to develop adequate screening procedures as well as build up there refugee programs such as finding sponsors from churches and communities.

Meanwhile, all of us here in the forums can work to help the refugees through charity, prayer and sacrifice.

Prayer for Refugees

Let us use this time for Advent to think of refugees, and all those in need.

Peace and Goodwill.

this doesn’t come as a surprise to me.
