Israeli warships monitoring Gaza-bound Libyan aid ship

Israeli navy vessels are shadowing a Libyan-chartered ship carrying aid for Gaza, in defiance of the blockade, amid confusion about its final destination.

The Gaddafi Foundation, which chartered the ship, insists the Moldovan-flagged Amalthea is ignoring a warning from Israel to change course.

Israeli officials say the captain has agreed to divert to Egypt, but that it cannot move owing to engine problems.

Well, this unfortunate. I assumed the earlier news, that the ship would go to Egypt, was correct. I hope this is what takes place. Perhaps it is a matter of paying the ship's owner some compensation for not fulfilling the contract? Maybe the Gaddafi Foundation would be mollified if they got some of their money back?
