Keeping my marriage together

#1

My wife and I are going through a difficult time, and have 3 small children. She also suffers from depression and some health problems. Due to these, she is not herself and I have been informed I’m on borrowed time till she gets tired of being wife and mom and takes the kids and leaves. I’m trying everything I can to help her and am trying to get her counseling. Please pray that my family, the most important thing in my life, stays together and we can have the relationship we had prior to the onset of her illness, which is essentially what depression is. Thank you.

I’m sorry you’re struggling right now with this, so is your wife. I hope she goes through counseling, you can’t make your wife better, on your own. Praying that your marriage sees this tough time through. With God, all things ARE possible. Never give up hope.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death
Amen.

You and your family definitely have my prayers. But it is possible to survive this hard time in your marriage; I’m living proof of that. Early on, I suffered from hormonal imbalance, and I know that my poor husband went through hell and back trying to keep it together not only for us but for our daughter. Eleven years later, I’m better and the marriage is stronger than ever. With God, it is impossible. Peace and blessings to you.

~facepalm~ That should read “With God, it is possible”…not impossible. I am so sorry.

This is a lot of pressure for you to live under;
and it sounds like you’re doing the best you can.
I ask the Lord to help you to maintain equilibrium under the strain,
and that He will inspire you with anything helpful you can do or say to imrove things.
I will be keeping you in my prayers, for your marriage, and your health and well-being under this pressure,
for your wife and her mental and emotional state, and that she begins to offer authentic love,
and for your children.

Love and concern, Trishie

Lord for Your great love for this man his wife, and each of his children, please flood Your merciful, healing love into this family.

Prayers my friend…for you and your wife…

Lord, please intervene in this situation and keep this couple together. Grant GIJoe the words to speak to his wife to let her know how how much he loves her and doesn’t want her to leave him, like he’s heard she might be considering. May her heart be moved with the help of the Holy Spirit and may she get the help she needs to help her get past her depression so she has the strength to work on their relationship together. May this relationship persevere through this dark time and may this couple see better days of happiness in the future. I pray that their pastor gets in on the scene and helps bring this woman to see how much she loves her husband. Amen.

For your family:

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners, now
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent,
but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself

Our Mother, St. Michael the Archangel, their guardian angels and patron saints, please pray for this family
