Last week on unemployment

#1

I just made my filing for my last week of unemployment compensation. Please pray in thanksgiving for the safety net I have been given, and also that my husband and I will each find suitable employment that pleases the Lord.

Thanks,
-S-

Lord, bless MissMichal and her husband with new work. I am so grateful they have been given a safety net and pray that they will continue to be provided for by your loving providence. Keep MissMichal and her husband safe by giving them all the graces they need to remain in a state of grace so they will always have you no matter what they have to go through in life. You are the most important thing in their - and in all of our - lives. Stay close to them and may they take this time away from work to deepen their prayer lives. Please motivate them to devote a good chunk of time each day to prayer. It seems to me that when you leave people unemployed, you give them an invitation to spend more time in prayer and devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. Help this couple reap the fruits of this time free to be with you and help them to grow in holiness, as will naturally follow a deeper prayer life in communion with your Son. Bless this couple and make them holy. Amen.

Praying from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 117 (118)
A cry of rejoicing and triumph

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Alleluia.

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good,
and his kindness is for ever.
Now let Israel say, he is good
and his kindness is for ever.
Now let the house of Aaron say it too:
that his kindness is for ever.
Now let all who fear the Lord say it too:
that his kindness is for ever.

In my time of trial I called out to the Lord:
he listened, and led me to freedom.
The Lord is with me,
I will fear nothing that man can do.

The Lord, my help, is with me,
and I shall look down upon my enemies.
It is good to seek shelter in the Lord,
better than to trust in men.
It is good to seek shelter in the Lord,
better than to trust in the leaders of men.

A cry of joy and salvation
in the dwellings of the righteous:
“The Lord’s right hand has triumphed!
The Lord’s right hand has raised me up;
the Lord’s right hand has triumphed.”
I shall not die, but live,
and tell of the works of the Lord.

The Lord chastised me severely
but did not let me die.
Open the gates of righteousness:
I will go in, and thank the Lord.
This is the gate of the Lord;
it is the upright who enter here.
I will thank you, for you listened to me,
and became my saviour.

This is the day that was made by the Lord:
let us rejoice today, and be glad.
Lord, keep me safe;
O Lord, let me prosper!

You are my God, I will give thanks to you;
my God, I will give you praise.
Give thanks to the Lord for he is good,
and his kindness is for ever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

I will put your family in my prayers. God Bless.

Praying for you now.

Heavenly Father please grant work now to this generous woman and her husband. Their resourses are running out, so please respond to their needs and their prayers. I ask You this in the nmae of Jesus.

St Joseph please intercede for them, knowing as you do the need for income, and having found yourself seeking work to support wife and child, then again as refugee in Egypt, and again on your arrival with Jesus and Mary in Nazareth.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell; the third day He
rose again from the dead; He ascended
into heaven, is seated at the right hand of
God the Father Almighty; from thence He
shall come to judge the living and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the
Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.

I am praying for your intentions.

#10

I will be praying for you!

#11

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

St. Joseph, holy patron of workers, pray for MissMichal. :crossrc:

#13

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent,
but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself

Our Mother, St. Michael the Archangel, St Joseph, their guardian angels and patron saints, please pray for work for -S- and her husband. Their need is urgent and real.
