Latin view of salvation

This post was taken from a thread in the Eastern forum where my question would have been off topic.

This is the first time I have heard teh “latin” view of salvation characterized as “suffering to appease an angry God”. I am curious where this concept came from, and how I can read more about it.

Since that is NOT the Catholic view of Salvation-- Latin or otherwise-- you will not be able to read up on it, and it came from the other poster’s imagination.
