Lay Associates for the Poor Clares

I have seriously considered becoming a lay associate of a Roman Catholic order for about 5 years now. I am very much drawn to the Poor Clares. Do they have lay associates? There is a dispersed order of Poor Clares in Bainbridge, WA. They have an associate program.

But I'm thinking more of something like Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration.

Historically, the Poor Clares have been the SECOND order of St. Francis, the friars being the First order.

Lay tertiaries, now called Secular Franciscans, are the third order (which is what tertiary means).

Thank you.

The dispersed Poor Clares that I mentioned are an Episcopal order.

I haven’t found Roman Catholic Poor Clares that have lay associates.
