List of papal foreign visits prior to John Paul

Papal visits by John Paul and Benedict are pretty well-documented. However, I’m curious how common foreign visits were in earlier years. I’m guessing not very.

Does anyone know of a source that documents the foreign visits through the history of the papacy?

I don’t know about other visits, but I know one for certain. The first visit of a Pope to the U.S. was on August 1, 1849 by Pope Pius IX. He boarded the U.S.S. Constitution which was anchored in Gaeta, Italy. U.S. Naval vessels are sovereign U.S. territory, so this was an authentic foreign visit.
