Looking forward to eating

I heard that there were many theologians and saints that claimed looking forward to eating is sinful (as in, it’s a form of gluttony). Is this what the church believes? If I were to look forward to getting Starbucks or looking forward to eating a wedding cake, would it then be a sin for me to eat the thing I was looking forward to?

Christina, you are scrupulous and you should seek assistance offline. Stop reading theological texts you are not equipped to interpret and speak to a priest about these issues.

I would add, pay no attention to what somebody says some saint says.
