Marty Minto/Pittsburgh

#1

One of the largest obstacles to evanagelizing to Protestants in Western PA/Pittsburgh is Marty Minto’s influence via his afternoon radio show. Minto is anti-Catholic to a T, or at least he’s anti-what he thinks the Catholic Church is (i.e. he is ignorant).

In any case, I called him on the carpet on his radio show to have a Catholic Apolgiest (i.e. Scott Hahn who lives nearby) on air; but he repeatedly ducked my challenge.

Any experience combatting Marty’s influence?

I’ve heard of him, only because James White sat in his radio program I think a couple years ago when White debated Dave Hunt on that program. Other than that, haven’t heard of him. He probably copies White’s arguments, right?

Afternoons (3-6?) on 101.5 FM.

He’s the stereotypical misinformed anti-catholic, in my opinion.

I live near Pittsburgh and can’t say that I have ever heard the guy but I know that channel is not Catholic. I would rather listen to 1590AM(Catholic) than a protestant channel.

1590 is good, if you can get reception. CA Live is on at 6 pm on 730 am, an evangelical station.

In any case, Minto is too influential to disregard.
