Matthew 2 vs Revelation 12

Woman Gives birth to Child.

Rev 12:5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all nations.

Matt 2:11 [Wise Men]…an on entering the house they saw child with Mary his mother…

Dragon anticipates birth/pursues woman to kill Child.

Rev 12:4 then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth…

Matt 2.:13 …Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him…

Fleeing the Dragon/Herod
Rev 12:6 the woman fled to the desert where she had a placed prepared by God and there she might be taken care of for 1260 days (3.5 yrs - keep this 3.5 yrs in mind)

Matt 2:13 [Joseph by direction on Angel] Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt and stay there until [angel] tell you…
Matt 2:15…stay there until the death of Herod (3.5 yrs???)

about 2 years later…

Matt 2:16 when Herod realized he had been decieved by the Magi, he became furious. He ordered the masacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vincinity two years and under, in accordance with the time he had ascertained from the magi (by this time of decree of Herod, Jesus was about 2 years old, and still a single child)

Woman givin Two wings of the great eagle to elude the dragon.
Rev 12:14 but the woman was given two wings of a great eagle…

It was the Angel and Joseph that made up the Two great wings that kept Mary/Woman and child steps ahead of the dragon/Herod.

Matt 2:12 And having been warned in a dream (perhaps by an Angel) not to return to Herod, they [wise men] departed for their country by another way…

Matt 2:13…the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, and said "Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you…[3.5 yrs ???)

Matt 2:14… Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt

Matt 2:20 [angel to Joseph (two wings)]…and said, rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the childs life are dead… (recall, this was after Herod decreed the killing of male boys 2 years and under, so there is a lapse of over two years, it is plausible that Herod died a year or so after he ordered the decree, again 3.5 yrs???. Jesus by the time he left Egypt is over two years old and is still a single child, it is possible Jesus is about 3.5 years when he returns to Galilee.

These are just a few comparison.

In Christ!

Good summary and comparison:thumbsup:
