Is chicken livers considered meat?
General rule of thumb, if the animal is warm blooded, then you can’t eat it on Fridays.
Most, if not all cold blooded animals can be eaten. Fish, allegators, frogs, insects, etc can be eaten on Fridays.
If this doesn’t make sense, it’s because the English word “meat” has a different meaning than the Latin word *carne *(and the Church says “no carne”, not “no meat”). The English word “meat” includes everything in the Latin word carne, but more.
I have heard that if you live in Mexico you may eat chicken on Fridays. But I don’t know about the rest of the world. I do know that in the US it is definitely a no.
