Lent is fast approaching and I was wanting to see what everyone normally eats each year on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday for their one full meal. Since these are days to fast and abstain, what do you all normally do for your one full meal? Do you also eat maybe a snack sometime during the day as well?
Last year on each of these days I simply drank water all day until supper time that evening. I then had a veggie sub from subway and a small bag of chips and drank some iced tea from home. I'm a bachelor and live alone so I don't really have anyone that can cook for me, and am not a big cook myself.
So what do you normally do on these days? What's your eating schedule for fasting and abstaining?
I usually go to a restaurant for a fish dinner. Grilled, not fried. This about 8:30 PM. (From 6:30 PM - 8 PM I am at Celebrate Recovery). For my snack I usually get a tuna melt at 2 PM, just after my noon AA meeting. :pizza:
This, by the way, is my eating schedule, fasting days or not. Something small at 2 PM, and dinner in the evening sometime. Tea (with milk, never lemon) for inbetween times. :coffeeread:This in keeping with the CFP requirement of two meals a day and no snacks. I seem to be doing well enough.
