this is outrageous. They should have made it FRIDAY!

What do you consider outrageous? That they will have a meatless day, or that it isn’t Friday?

I think Friday wasn’t selected because historically Catholics went meatless on Friday. Picking that day would have been challenged as favoring one religion over another.

Yep, too Catholic. Also Meatless Friday doesn’t flow as well as Meatless Monday.

During the Second World War, Americans were urged to observe Meatless Wednesdays, in order to conserve the meat for the soldiers.

Hope no one objected to that!
