Michael W Smith, "Our God is an Awesome God"

Link to Our God is an Awesome God video, youtube

I wanted to share this inspiring and uplifting youtube video!

Another wonderful version, I love this song!!!

I love that song. Rich Mullens, who wrote it, was on the path to Catholic conversion, shortly before he died in a tragic car crash.

Another Christian songwriter, Twila Paris, wrote the song “How Beautiful” that is very Eucharistic that Catholics can embrace:

Wow, great! Maybe some others will contribute! Thanks!

I’m more familiar with the Rich Mullins version.

(I’ve always liked the violin from the sound track.) LOL. I have the recording on cassette. I suppose I should download it so I can put it on my iPod! My computer speakers don’t do it justice.

Thanks! That’s a great! I found the lyrics online. I’m learning the song on the guitar.

Oh when He rolls up his sleeves He ain’t just puttin’ on the ritz,
Our God is an awesome God
There is thunder in his footsteps and lightning in his fists
Our God is an awesome God

And the Lord wasn’t joking when He kicked ‘em out of Eden
It wasn’t for no reason that He shed his blood
His return is very soon and so you’d better be believin’ that
Our God is an awesome God

Our God is an awesome God
He reigns from heaven above
with wisdom, pow’r and love
Our God is an awesome God

And when the sky was starless in the void of the night
Our God is an awesome God
He spoke into the darkness and created the light
Our God is an awesome God

And judgment and wrath He poured out on Sodom
Mercy and grace He gave us at the cross
I hope that we have not too quickly forgotten that
Our God is an awesome God

I love Michael W. Smith, I have seen him in concert twice, and will see in him in December!!

I have worn our several copies of Worship and Worship Again (2 CDsof MWS) they are so good.
