If he was covering the story, and not there on his own, I’d say he’s not the brightest guy (who used to be) in the newsroom.

They have a right to do this. If they don’t have a right to hire based on ideology than neither do we. Do you want them knocking down our doors saying we have to consider non-catholics to fill church positions?
