Modern churches that don't look like churches

#1

Whats up with these modern looking churches that don’t look like churches inside and out?

You can pass them by on the street with out realizing that your passing a place where God dwells, or go in one and feel as plain as a heart without love.:frowning:

What should we know about these buildings being built for our Lord? And what can we do to make sure allot of love and prayer go into the plans for building a new church?

Thanks

To better understand the “roots of modernist church architecture” I recommend you read the following articles:

Perhaps you can ask Blessed Fra Angelico and St. Thomas the Apostle to pray with you for the “return of reverence and honor due to the sacred buildings and rites” (Sacrosanctum Concilium, no. 123).
