More on Bad Legal Tactics

Lawyers have filed suits against the RCC in cases where the statute of limitations has passed for any suit to have merit in the legal systems where they are filed. Some of these suits are against deceased clergy.

These suits will never have to be defended by the Church in the legal systems of whatever state/county they are filed in.

After passage of time, the some party attempts to make the suit more public via the news outlets.

These tactics are probably intended to get the RCC to pay money to defendants (the lawyer gets his cut); even though the suit has no merit. The benefit to the church being that the story does not get into the media.

The suits would probably not be won by the bad actors if they were within the statute of limitations and did go to court.
