Must We Recieve Eucharist On Easter?

Im struggling with serious sin and am not able to recieve communion tonight when I goto mass. Is it required that i recieve communion tonight to be a acatholic in good standing or is it the requirement that we must recieve the Holy Eucharist once a a year?

We are required as one of the laws of the Church to confess serious sins at least once a year, and to receive communion during the Easter Season (up until Pentecost, May 27 this year). Of course we must be in the state of grace to receive, which for most of us means confession more often.
