My aunt is dying

Please pray for my aunt and our family.

She is dying in the hospital of terminal cancer that has spread through her body.

:(:(:frowning:

Please pray for her and for our family, particularly her son and her mother (my grandma).

May the Lord Jesus Christ heal your aunt and provide for all of her needs in accordance with his holy and perfect will. May the Lord Jesus Christ also be with your family and provide for your family’s needs. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen

Ave, María, grátia plena,
Dóminus tecum.
Benedícta tu in muliéribus,
et benedíctus fructus ventris tui, Iesus.
Sancta María, Mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatóribus,
nunc et in hora mortis nostræ.
Amen.

God, hear my prayer,
And let my cry come to You.
Do not hide from me in the day of my distress
Turn to me and speedily answer my prayer.
Eternal God, Source of healing,
Out of my distress I call upon You.
Help me sense Your presence
At this difficult time.
Grant me patience when the hours are heavy;
In hurt or disappointment give me courage.
Keep me trustful in Your love.
Give me strength for today, and hope for tomorrow.
To your loving hands I commit my spirit
When asleep and when awake. You are with me; I shall not fear.

O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers: Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to your servant N. the help of your power, that his sickness may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

:highprayer::amen:

Lord, please grant strength, surrender, and peace to Debora’s aunt. Please help her to persevere in faith; may she not let anything separate herself from you. May her guardian angel help her to die a good and peaceful death. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.

O most merciful Jesus,
Lover of souls,
I beseech Thee,
by the agony of Thy most Sacred Heart,
and by the sorrows of Thine Immaculate Mother,
wash clean in the Thy Blood
the sinners of the whole world
who are to die this day.

Remember most especially the soul I spiritually adopt
with the intention of entrusting him or her to Thy
Shepherd’s care:
I beseech Thee for the grace to move this sinner,
who is in danger of going to Hell, to repent.
I ask this because of my trust in Thy great mercy.

If it should please Thy Majesty to send me a suffering
this day
in exchange for the grace I ask for this soul,
then, it, too, shall please me very much,
and I thank Thee, Most Sweet Jesus,
Shepherd and Lover of Souls;
I thank Thee for this opportunity to give mercy
in thanksgiving for all the mercies
Thou hast shown me.

Amen.

Heart of Jesus, once in agony,
have mercy on the dying.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Jesus, I trust in You! Amen.

Will offer up my rosary for today for your aunt and family. She is in my prayers.

:gopray:

I will pray for you aunt and your family in Adoration before the Blessed Sacrement today.

How is she doing?

She’s becoming weaker and weaker each day, as the cancer takes her. She’s taking a lot of morphine for the pain and has been in the hospital for a few weeks now. :frowning:

She seems to be fairly positive and at peace with the prospect of dying, though it’s hard to tell if that’s just the morphine keeping her calm or if it’s genuine peace of mind.

I appreciate all the prayers. Thank you so much everyone, it means a lot to me.
