Yes, I have had something similar happen to me. It is mean-spirited and unkind what the non-Christians did. It doesn’t matter at all whose fault it was. Sometime we just don’t know. You were thrown a curve ball and you are doing what you need to do. Don’t let naysayers get you down. You have done nothing wrong. Sometimes our prayers are not answered in the way we thought they would be. You are human, and humans have doubts from time to time. There will be a good job out there for you at the perfect time. I will pray for you!
Patient endurance. Think about Jesus and the saints. They endured much worse. Jesus in particular received more accusations than praise during his earthly mission. Yet He kept mostly silent during his blasphemy trial.
I’m doing that exactly. Also, I’ve found this pandemic as an “opportunity” to test myself. So far, I’m glad to say, I’ve become stronger with the Lord 's Grace (although, at times I find myself lacking the strength).
Wasn’t aware about prosperity teaching; I must’ve been living under the rock. I know of something like pastors being accused of cheating money out of the poor but didn’t know it’s associated with prosperity teaching. A millionaire pastor. Doesn’t just sound right.
My best friend use to tell me that God test the ones He loves the most. She suffered a great deal before God took her. Which proved her point to me. She was such a beautiful soul.
