My grandmother's health and father's faith

My grandmother has been going slowly for the last few years, but it seems like she is fading out this week. Her veins give out too easily, so they can’t feed any blood or medicine directly into her body. She can’t eat or drink, and my father is quite literally freaking out (he’s been visiting her every day for the past four years). She is Greek Orthodox and has been a rather devout woman for most of her life (as was my grandfather). My dad on the other hand has fallen away from orthodox belief, and even resents religion (he sometimes resembles that hooligan Dawkins).

I’m praying for a revitalization of my father’s (Stavros’) faith and a peaceful death for my grandmother (Emilie). Please keep them both in your prayers, that God might use this time of tribulation and unrest for the betterment of our family (and the salvation of souls, namely, those of my grandmother and father).

St. Padre Pio, Ora Pro Nobis.
St. Joseph, Ora Pro Nobis.
Blessed Virgin Mary, Ora Pro Nobis.

Bless you all.

I will keep them in my prayers. Peace to you and your family during this difficult time.

You seem to have a wonderful view on the situation, God Bless you and prayers have been said for your situation

God Bless

A little under 20 minutes ago, the hospital called. My grandmother passed away in her sleep.

Thank you for your prayers.

Eternal rest to your grandmother. My prayers for the repose of her soul and for all your family.

Our Father in Heaven
Holy be Your Name
Your Kingdom come
Your Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us
Do not bring us to the test
But deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of grace!
The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
And Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death.

Glory be to the Father,
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning
Is now and ever shall be
World without end.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon her.

May she rest in peace.

May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Praying for your intention.

I just said a prayer for your grandmother and father. God bless you.
