My husband has jaundice and is dizzy

#1

Please pray for my DH who has a doctor appointment tomorrow. He became very jaundiced in the past 48 hours. He is also very dizzy when he first gets to a standing position from sitting or lying down. Please pray the docs figure out what is causing this and for a successful outcome.

He is a diabetic and had normal blood sugar, A1C, and liver function readings just one month ago.

I think you should consider a trip to the emergency room tonight. I will pray for your husband.

#3

I second that thought. He is in my prayers!

#4

Yes, that looks quite serious. You really should take him to the emergency room.

Absolutely . . . take him to the emergency room . . . :stretcher: . . . just to be on the very safe side . . . God bless . . .

. . . praying for you both+

I wanted him to go in yesterday already when it first started. He is stubborn as a mule. I did suggest going in tonight, and he absolutely refuses to do so. He did finally call and make an appointment for tomorrow. Why are men so dang stubborn when it comes to health issues??

Prayers for your DH…

Prayer from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

O God, you are the strength of those who hope in you: in your kindness, attend to our prayers.
Weak and mortal, we can achieve nothing without you: always give us your support,
so that we carry out your commandments, pleasing you in both intention and action.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

Hail Mary

the Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus
Holy Mary,
Mother of God
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell; the third day He
rose again from the dead; He ascended
into heaven, is seated at the right hand of
God the Father Almighty; from thence He
shall come to judge the living and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the
Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.

Thanks to everyone for praying.

The docs are going to run another test tomorrow (an MRI) to take a closer look at his ducts, but everything is initially pointing to Hepatitis A, which is the food-borne viral infection. He was also severly dehydrated. The tests they ran today showed nothing else alarming, and the bloodwork all points to Hep A. There is not much they can do to treat it, except wait for the virus to run its course.

Keep up the prayers! They seem to be working, in that it does not appear to be overly serious.

Oh, and regarding the dizziness…he has been on 2 blood pressure medications since his 20s (he is 45 now). His blood pressure today was 75/40. His doctor told him to stop taking anymore BP medication. At his last appointment a month ago, they halved the dosage, because the readings were lower, but not this low!

Lord grant that his symptoms will be diagnosed quickly and that treatment will be successful. Thank You, dear God.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the begining, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
