Name that saint!

I think I may have just invented a new parlour game!

I read about him a few weeks ago and then I wanted to recommend to a friend that he look him up, but the name and details elude me.

I think he might be a Blessed. He was Italian and he liked to climb mountains. He is sometimes used as an example of a holy person who led a cool, exciting and active life (which was the reason I wanted to recommend him to my friend).

Any ideas?

Edit: He lived in the C20th

Sounds like Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati to me.

Name that saint is a fun game!

But you’ll have to change it to name that Blessed as the Blessed are not Saints?
