NBC: It’s ‘Pro-Science’ to Abort Children With Genetic Defects

On Friday’s NBC Today, chief medical editor Nancy Snyderman explained to viewers that it’s just good science to abort an unborn child that may have a genetic disorder, explaining that testing for such conditions, “gives parents a chance to decide whether they’re going to continue that pregnancy or not. This is the science of today.” [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump]

Snyderman then predicted: “I think the future will be such that you’ll find out that your child may have a genetic hit. You can fix that genetic problem, and improve your chance, a child’s chance…” When co-host Savannah Guthrie raised ethical questions about aborting children under such circumstances, Snyderman matter-of-factly replied: “Well, I’m pro-science, so I believe that this is a great way to prevent diseases.”

Well, I’m sure the source will be attacked, but you can find video of her exact words on several websites.

What is our country coming to?

:signofcross:

Re: Cristianos’ post of the day: Chief medical editor Nancy Snyderman is an idiot that does not know what science is. She is also an idiot that does not know what morality is. She is also an idiot because she is unable to use basic logic.

:D:D:D

Another confused “pro-science” media personality. I’m pretty certain she is the same person I cited in the past who said that smoking while pregnant is a form of “child abuse.” It amazes me that someone who can make that claim doesn’t recognize abortion as a form of infanticide or murder.

If she gets sick and the state has her killed, will she object?

Apparently, Darwin’s Survival of the Fittest isn’t working fast enough for them. Not to be ‘that guy’ who brings up the Nazis, nor am I drawing comparisons between them and Snyderman, but isn’t this the first step down a slippery slope for creating your ‘ideal’ child/human?

I wonder if she also believes that evolution has led us to gay marriage.

Video is on the LifeNews link.

This is just so sad.:frowning: We need to prayer for this woman and people like her.

Uhh…Nein mein fuhrer das ist pro-Eugenics.

If it’s true then why bother looking for a cure…we should have just told Michael J Fox he should have been aborted.
Why do we Christians tolerate this evil nonsense?

On Friday’s NBC Today, chief medical editor Nancy Snyderman explained to viewers that it’s just good science to abort an unborn child that may have a genetic disorder, explaining that testing for such conditions, “gives parents a chance to decide whether they’re going to continue that pregnancy or not. This does nothing to prevent disease. Any disease that is there has not been prevented.

Also, it is only possible to study a disease for the possibility of treatment if there are subjects to be examined. Simply killing the person to avoid treatment is anti-science to a most serious degree.

We must NOT tolerate it. We need to pray for it to end. :gopray2::gopray2::gopray2:

Yes. That is the illogical unscientific nonsense that is the the pro-“choice” (really pro-death) movement. I’ve even met someone who compared the unborn baby receiving nutrients from the mother to a vampire sucking blood!!! I don’t understand how someone could compare the loving, intimate, relationship that a mother and unborn child share to a vampire! That does’t make any sense.

Well, basic reasoning says different. Basic reasoning says that it’s pro-sin, pro-death, and pro-curse.

Good to have her on the air…she is upfront and spouts this ideology as good for science and the Common Good…she is not the problem…IF there is a problem…it is “us” – we the media/news consumer – of this and other “great science/moral news”…

…Do we buy it? How many don’t buy it…how many do buy it?..it is that simple…and the Dr. Nancey’s of the Western World…especially the “Class of 1968”…are with us for the long run/long haul…they are only to be feared if…“us”…if…“we”…buy it!

NBC …No Brain Company…is a dinosaur…just waiting to be declared extinct!..They are not the problem either!

Lastly…when Truth speaks to power (media is the most powerful voice…they even control what the President gets into the public via news and how it is presented)…power does not research, discuss or debate the issue…they try to crush and destroy Truth…it happened 2000+ years ago…it happens every day in the Catholic Church…especially in election seasons/years…and in most all Western World countries…democracy, republic, parliamentary, socialists, etc… Its like having a front row seat and watching in living color, the great Greek Culture and the Great Roman Empire cannibalizing them self.

Or said better by the “great theologian”…William Munny (Clint Eastwood) in Unforgiven:

The Schofield Kid: [after killing a man for the first time] It don’t seem real… how he ain’t gonna never breathe again, ever… how he’s dead. And the other one too. All on account of pulling a trigger.

Will Munny: Iit’s a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he’s got and all he’s ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

You are right Bill…we surely have it coming…becasue we clearly vote for people who support it…a real, active and vibrant…culture of death.

Pax Christi

“When co-host Savannah Guthrie raised ethical questions about aborting children under such circumstances, Snyderman matter-of-factly replied: “Well, I’m pro-science, so I believe that this is a great way to prevent diseases.”” Prevent disease by killing the patient. It just doesn’t seem to accord with “First, do no harm.”

As has been pointed out by SonCatcher, her very statement is contradictory: you can’t prevent a disease that already exists. Still, we must be charitable to all. It may be difficult at first - we know that human lives and souls are at stake with abortion - but we must love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.

Lord, I beg You, please pour out Your Divine Mercy upon them and upon all, especially those in most need of Your Mercy. +

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Yes! We must always remember to follow Jesus’ words, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”. Thanks for the reminder!

Well said.

Why do we tolerate it? We have been completely desensitized to this through the public education system and social media.

Her statement is very intuitive and absolutely true: it *is *what her god “Science” would have us do.
