New religious community for men

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a new religious community for men that has started in the Archdiocese of Detroit:

They are an active life community of Canons, following the Rule of St. Augustine, who are devoted to the restoration of the Traditional Latin Mass and everything that goes along with that. They operate with full approval of the Archbishop of Detroit, who wants the Old Rite and traditional religious/clerical life to grow and spread in his diocese.

I know that there are not alot of options for young men today who wish to live an active religious/clerical life WITH the Traditional Latin Mass and Divine Office. There are a good number of contemplative orders, but not many of mixed/active life. Please spread the word!

God bless!

They operate with approval of the Archbishop but are a private association as yet. They are under private vows, not public.

I will pray for them and their ministry.

A new one comes in and an old one goes.

While they obviously have different charisms, it appears that we are close to losing a community.

The Trappists in northeastern Utah look like they have pretty much come to the end of their rope, and there is no knot.

See Abbey of Our Lady of the Holy Trinity.

Thank you for posting this.

God bless,
